Many years ago, I lost 10 pounds effortlessly just by slowing down and making sure I chewed every bite of food. I found I enjoyed my food more, and could never finish my plate! The world felt full of food!

Then came dinner with friends a couple of Saturdays ago at our home. Dessert served: banana splits with 2 sccops of vanilla ice cream, gobs of fresh fruit, chocolate sauce (generous) drizzle, sprinkled with roasted, sliced almonds....heaven, I tell you!

And Audra, to your point, I didn&#039;t gain an ounce that weekend!</description>

Had a bit of a set back.  I broke my toe two weeks ago dropping a ten pound weight on it .  Yes, I was working out and I dropped it.  So, I have backed too far off on workouts since I can obviously still work upper body and ride my bike.   Argggg.  This is the second broken toe I have had.  Last time it was from kickboxing and then running five miles on it the same day.  That hurt for a really long time.

Anyway, this weekend, I womaned up and went hiking up in Lake Tahoe since the weather was spectacular.  It only hurt for a bit then felt better.  It still aches today but no more than it has been.  

This week I will go hiking on the trails in Almaden and I will start back on my morning workouts,even if it mostly focuses on upper body.
