There’s this whole giant movement going on to “love your body”.
I see it everywhere.
The hashtag #selflove has over 14 million hits on Instagram alone.
It’s like the new “in vogue” thing to say that you love yourself.
What bothers me about this whole movement is that in a lot of ways…
IF FEELS FAKE!
Here’s what I mean:
If we’ve spent years and possibly decades berating and beating ourselves up (basically the opposite of self love)…
Saying to ourselves how fat we are…
…how unacceptable our body is….
….Refusing to even look in the mirror because we’re disgusted by the bumpy cellulite, double chin, and fat arms…
If we’ve been treating ourselves like this for years, then how on God(dess)’s green earth is it that we can just snap our fingers and….POOF!
We love ourselves!
The truth is we can’t.
Nobody can.
The neuronal patterning of constantly putting yourself down, judging and hating on the parts of your body that aren’t acceptable to you leave some deep psychic and emotional scarring.
So just deciding to use hashtags like #Ilovemybody #selflove #bodypositivewarrior…
while it might be popular…
It ain’t the same as truly knowing it in your body, down to your bones.
So in today’s video I teach you one of the most potent and powerful practices you can do everyday to create new neuronal pathways that lead to the true depths of empowering and yes…. even loving yourself.
