Hey. Hey, all right. To all my ladies out there, 40 and up. Is there any chance that you might be thinking that it used to be so much easier to get fit or lose weight or feel good or have more energy? Maybe it was a lot easier in your twenties and thirties. Well, here are some maybe toxic beliefs that you have.
And I want to clear these up for you. Number one, you might believe, oh, you know, I guess I’m just getting older and this is just how it has to be no energy achy joints feeling like crap. Can’t get this body fat off of me. Not true. Or you might be thinking, you know, the only way now at this age, it’s going to even be possible to feel better in my body to lose this body fat.
It’s going to be to starve myself, go on a crazy diet or spend hours in the gym or on a treadmill. Wrong again, not true. Or the worst is kind of like complacency. Like I guess this is my new normal, and it only gets worse from here. That kind of was what I was feeling earlier this year. But guess what? And we’re all wrong.
Not true. Listen, I am right smack dab in the middle of my perimenopausal journey. And it has been, the worst experience ever and also the best experience. The best thing that’s ever happened to me because it sent me down. Rabbit holes of research and listening to researchers.
