I’m deep into The Desire Map by Danielle Laporte getting very clear with how I want to feel this year.  For me, this way of putting together my 2014 goals as feelings I want to have (instead of goals I want to achieve) is very different.

It’s mind-blowing.

It means that you can have what you want TODAY by creating the experiences and feelings you think you are seeking for tomorrow.

Grab them now.

I’m very clear that two of my core desired feelings are Courage and Adventure.

This teaches us to get out of our head and into our hearts and body so that real change can happen.  It asks us to invite a feminine quality into our evolutionary process.

Not that the more masculine, linear, numbers oriented goal process isn’t valid… it’s just overdone.  And when we take that masculine approach from our head without connecting our heart and body, we wonder why when we reach the goal (yay!), we don’t feel completely satisfied (boo!).

This is also my approach with my clients when it comes to making nutrition changes and weight loss.

Get away from numbers.  Stop counting. Burn your scale.

Get into your body.
