Lose Weight!
You’ve been trying to do it by yourself and it never seems to work, or you gain it all back. It’s time to start working with a professional.
“After losing 30 pounds, my weight wouldn’t budge for over three years, despite the fact I still had about 15 pounds more to go. By the time I saw Audra, I really believed that I was destined to be 15 pounds over weight. I had all but given up. Working with Audra as my weight loss coach gave me the focus and drive to finally drop those last 15 pounds! The challenge had more to do to with my thoughts and beliefs about myself and what I could accomplish if I really decided to do it. Now I’m below my pre-pregnancy weight from my first child and have more energy and strength than I did even in my 20’s!”
—Martha Sinclair, 47
I’m hoping this gives you a bit more information on what exactly coaching is and how it works. Coaches are used in many arenas of life, including business, personal fulfillment, and relationships. My education and expertise has led me into the arenas of weight loss, health and wellness, focusing specifically on weight loss.
What is coaching?
- Just as an Athletic Coach assists athletes in fully developing their abilities to maximum performance, A Life Coach is a professional relationship designed to enhance an individual’s ability to focus, make effective changes, achieve desired goals and maximize success and fulfillment in life.
- A coach helps you identify and clarify your priorities and areas for development.
- Coaches employ a diverse array of assessment, psychological, and behavior change tools to empower you to take charge, connect with your deepest motivators, and learn how to grow and change.
- You make sustainable changes in self-understanding, self-concept, and behavior during the coaching process.
- Coaching is a method of supporting change and growth that blends proven techniques for behavior change with personal growth techniques in a process that helps you see where you are, where you want to go, and how to get there.
- Coaching is built on the belief that you are creative, resourceful, and perfect. It works with you as a whole person and your core values, seeking to connect your inner world with your outer reality.
- Coaching is very powerful because it provides a built-in structure of accountability. When people share commitments to a plan and goals with someone they respect and who believes in them, they are more motivated to keep those commitments.
What is coaching not?
- Coaching is not therapy!
- Coaching is a radical departure from traditional therapy, which tends to focus on healing the past, resolving ‘issues’, and generally working hard to improve yourself to be a better, idealized version of you.
- Therapy also includes processing your emotional history and/or diagnosing and treating mental health issues.
- Therapy focuses on processing ”PAST issues” and is less action oriented. Coaching is about living in the ”present” and taking action in the present to create your desired future.
Why is coaching so effective?
Coaching is effective because of three unique features:
Synergy: We become a team. The focus, support and candid feedback allows my clients to accomplish much more than they would alone.
Structure: With regular coaching calls, clients have a consistent, count-on-able venue to develop their ability to present in their lives while effortlessly dissolving habitual behaviors that hold them back from greater fulfillment and success.
Expertise: Through training, personal experience and work with other clients, I’m able to support you to make better decisions, speak and live your truth, and set-up your personal and professional life for maximum fulfillment and productivity. My Nutrition and Fitness Education coupled with over a decade of experience in the wellness industries makes certain that you will be on the right track to better health, and a leaner body.
What you can expect from me:
- Through coaching inquiry, I will encourage you to identify your health and life-wellness vision, motivators, obstacles, and strategies to overcome obstacles.
- I will listen to you attentively and without judgment or my own agenda.
- Where possible, I will ask questions and encourage you to arrive at your own answer.
- I will encourage realistic expectations and goals.
- I will be direct and firm with feedback when needed.
- I will provide advice and instruction for engineering fitness, good nutrition, and management of weight, stress, and health into your busy life.
- I will be punctual and responsive.
- I will always see you as the most perfect and resourceful person for determining your life’s course; holding you in the utmost regard, respect, and never with judgment.
- Unconditionally constructive. No matter what happens during our call, you can expect me to say only those things that support your well-being. If you are disturbed, I do understand. If you can’t wait to share a win, I will happily celebrate with you. I will not make you wrong, criticize you, complain to you or gossip about you.
- Straightforward. Yes, one can be unconditionally constructive and still speak straight. From time to time, I will ask you to begin, end or modify something.
What I expect from you.
The Client:
- wants to improve levels of consciousness and wellness.
- is ready to take responsibility to make and sustain changes in at least one area of life.
- is ready to invest at least 3 months (12 weeks) to make improvements.
- is open and honest, sharing personal information that is relevant to changes desired.
- is open to suggestions and trying new things.
- understands that setbacks are normal on the path of change and necessary in order to establish new behaviors.
- is punctual and responsive.
I expect my clients to accept full responsibility for their lives and be willing to ‘try on’ a new perspective to have the brilliance, ease and satisfaction they desire. It has been said that one definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. If you want different results, (i.e. weight loss, better health, more time, money, energy and satisfaction in your life) you need to try a different approach.
I incorporate Coaching in all the services I offer.
The innovative group program I offer is called Happy, Healthy, Slim, & Sexy weight loss coaching program.
